Liz Wicks

Liz’s roots are here in WA, graduating from Curtin University in 1992. Her early career saw her working in a number of private clinics across Perth before a move to Broome in 2000. After a long stint as founder and director of Kimberley Physiotherapy, Liz is making the move south to Busselton. Liz spent several years competing in state level athletics. This provided her with a passion for movement, as well as an appreciation of the value of the combination of balance, strength, aerobic fitness, flexibility and mindset in achieving optimal movement and performance. Her own training has been integrated with many years of clinical experience to develop strong skills in understanding the mechanical cause of injuries. This approach having great value in supporting recovery following injuries, manage chronic conditions and in assisting the prevention of injury re-occurrence. Liz is a credential led DMA Clinical Pilates instructor. Skills that have informed her approach to retraining functional movement with patients, as well as the delivery of individual and group work on reformers in Pilates studios. Liz is looking forward to developing Clinical Pilates services for the practice. Please advise reception if you would like to receive more information on this service once arrangements are finalised. Liz’s further skillset include the application of manual therapy, dry needling, functional strength coaching, kinesio taping and biomechanical orthotic prescription where appropriate, to accelerate recovery.
